How we evaluate?Japanese and Peruvian flavours meet in Tallinn
Nikkei cuisine, where mostly marine Japanese flavours and mostly earthly Peruvian flavours merge, has been making waves in the world for some time. Only one restaurant in Estonia represents this cuisine, and it’s also relatively new. Located on the highest floor of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Tallinn.
The atmosphere here is international, to which the napkins folded into kimonos and a few more details add Japanese nuances. The front dining hall and bar windows offer an enchanting view of Tallinn’s Old Town. There is a serving counter in the rear dining room. Those sitting there can have a close look at how Issei’s dishes are prepared.
The tasting menu omakase provides a good snapshot of the food offered by the resto. The drink list begins with a lengthy selection of different cocktails. From those you can easily find something to pair with any dish. Issei admirably enhances the multicultural aspect of Tallinn’s gastronomy.
