If you’re in search of a quick meal, you shouldn’t come to the cafe-restaurant, situated in a long old wooden house on the outskirts of Türi. You can try, but time stops here, whether you want it to or not. This stopping of time makes Ajatu one of the most unique eateries in all of Estonia.
The dishes served here were willingly eaten at the end of the last century. Tableware, tables and chairs, and all the furnishings have been reused and are even older. Different rooms in the house have different smells. These are clearly recognisable smells of history.
The cafe-restaurant adds flavours to them. The staff here have a unique job, and visibly enjoy it. How is the job unique? They make time stand still so that every guest can experience the smells and tastes of history.
