Ungru restaurant offers lush flavours

18. June 2021

Ungru pere.

Two centuries after the Count of Ungru pondered the idea of taking over the entire island of Hiiumaa, Ungru is again a well-known place across the island. This time for a small cosy resto and a comfortable guest house with four rooms.

Resto dishes are made with ambition on par with the former count. How else would one explain the dried sauerkraut or green pea halva? And Chaga creme brulee served alongside pickled cucumber and birch leaves?

The extravagant ideas are always executed so that the food is still understandable to everyone and tastes lush.
