The birth story of Lehe Brewery is a typical one. A family made beer for their own consumption that always made guests ask, ‘When will you be making it for everyone?’ Now, the family enterprise Lehe Brewery is one of the most renowned craft beer brewers in Estonia and a particular favourite among restaurants.
Lehe made their first brew three years ago. Despite, the collection of all their labels on one of the walls already displays 35 different names. Lehe’s different fermentation tanks also carry batch numbers.
The brewery takes pleasure in experimentation, but does not use anything except malt, hops, water and yeast in their brews. For a true brewer, these are the only tools for creating flavour. Without compromise.
The best location for offering special beer is a gastropub. Such a venue makes sure that the drink is accompanied by the appropriate dish. Estonian gastropubs can easily be counted on the fingers of one hand. This is how rare they are around here.
This summer, Clayhills offers a choice between five different exquisite Lehe beers, one of them a special brew for the gastropub. You will see them as soon as you take a seat at a table on the terrace. Just one friendly warning: after tasting one, you may spend more time at Clayhills than you originally planned. Be prepared!
