Those who prefer to take time to enjoy their food can spend many hours sampling head chef duo Dmitri Feodorov and Andrei Shmakov’s newest creations. By the way, the same two men also run the kitchen of Love Mussels. However, if you are after a quick bite, the menu of tartars and carpaccios offers plenty of speedy options.
Whichever route you opt for you will see that creativity is limitless in the TAR TAR kitchen. Georgian-style beef tartar Mimino is seasoned with hot tomato sauce, Russian-style Matryoshka with horseradish cream and French-style Frenchie with foie gras and black truffle. The duck and chicken liver pate is served with strawberry marmalade. Whether to go fast or go slow is up to the eater, but passing by this restaurant in one of the highest-traffic spots in Tallinn would be a mistake.
