We here in Estonia are eager to know about our near and distant past. There are many museums in Estonia. Digging into the past is time-consuming, which is why many museums also have places to eat. They provide sustenance, but not much else.
There is one exception to every rule and in this case it is Seto Museum. Here, museum food is served both in the literal and looser meaning of the word. Reading the Seto language menu is a bit of a tongue twister, but the food itself is simple and understandable. And most importantly, you will not find a dish on the menu, the origin of which is not local and thoroughly studied.
Ask for dishes prepared in the wood oven in the dining room. Those are the best here.
