When Ruhe first opened its doors 10 years ago it was an ambitious port restaurant. While serving food made of local fish, they dreamed of also opening a shop. The plan was to sell products made of the same local fish. Unfortunately, the catch turned out to be meagre and unvaried.
However, the sea views lend an absolutely stunning backdrop to the restaurant and guesthouse. The local fish restaurant became a beach-lifestyle restaurant and club. Any seafood here tastes like it’s fresh and local. Champagne, fine wines and a recently added selection of author cocktails only increase the allure.
In southern Europe, a beach club means sun, warm sea and bikinis. A beach club by the Baltic Sea also means sun, but clouds work too. Cold and sometimes icy seawater. Cool rain and snow. A scarf and almost always a sweater. Believe us, this beach club is never dull.
