We might have four seasons and other delights, but the weather here is always the same – lousy skiing weather. On a typical dreary day seeing a fireplace in the window of NOK NOK evokes mixed emotions. Many stop only briefly to take a photo or roll their eyes and then go about their day.
Yet, some people are drawn like a moth to a flame into the restaurant.
Fire has magical power and the same applies to NOK NOK’s cocktails. After your first sip, Thai warmth seeps into your cold body. The menu is shorter than before, but the dishes themselves more refined and definitely live up to the claim on the card – Thai fine dining.
Start with the marinated prawn cakes with sweet plum sauce and the bouncy texture and delicious flavour will make you want to sample the rest of the menu. The light in NOK NOK’s window is no will-o’-wisp, genuine Thai warmth is present in this restaurant every day.
