Running a restaurant seems like a coveted and glamorous business to a foodie. Because these people don’t tend to end up in subpar places. Suppose this opinion is also accompanied by the ability to invest. In that case, the foodie does not have to wait long for their very own restaurant.
Just such a restaurant is Jää. Its owners have enjoyed good tastes in the most diverse parts of the world. They have collected the ones that have impressed them the most in their restaurant. Iberico hams and sausages from Spain, smoked duck tartare from France, hamachi tataki from Japan, wontons from China. There isn’t much point in listing our favourite dishes, since the menu changes frequently. On your next visit, your table will be covered in an entirely new set of dishes, all of them equally memorable.
Well-paired wines play their part in making the dishes memorable which are also discovered by the owners on their travels and later imported to Estonia.
Jää in Estonian can mean two things, ice or stay. In the case of restaurant Jää, the name is certainly intended to lure the guests to stay here longer. This desire becomes more and more difficult to resist with every new bite and sip.
