Indeed, it is an open air restaurant and not only during the summer! A small producer of berry wines has now established itself in the former warehouse of a distillery, where grain and potatoes were stored for making vodka and where the village sauna used to be.
They have good wines that were originally only sold to restaurants until covid turned everything upside down. The dining rooms of the restaurants indoors were ordered to close, but there were no restrictions to eating outside. People were desperate to have a meal outside their homes, and Habaja Viinavabrik offered the opportunity. People got used to waiting outside for food to be prepared on the grill, smoked or baked in the pizza oven while sipping lemonade or wine. There’s no bad weather here, only incorrect clothing. In this case, coats and blankets are provided for temporary warmth. People seem to have forgotten that there are no more restrictions. The open-air restaurant continues to operate successfully on weekends at the abundant request of guests.
