Traditional Estonian notions about good food may seem odd to foreigners. For example the sign of a good soup is that you can stand your spoon in it, as the locals prefer the dish to be more substantial than just broth.
Restaurant Flavore fulfils Estonian food dreams Italian-style. The pile of seafood in Zuppa di Pesce is so high that you will struggle to fit your spoon in the bowl and the garlic, chilli and tomato broth is spicy enough to demand a glass or two of white wine. Fortunately, access to wine is easy with self-serve wine dispensers at the back of the restaurant, but if the soup keeps you too busy the waiters can offer a helping hand.
The restaurant belongs to Tallink Group, which is mostly known as a shipping company. Flavore acts as a land embassy for the Tallink cruise ferries, offering reliable quality appropriate for the biggest fish in the Baltic Sea.
