Fii is a restaurant with a minimalist interior and floor-to-ceiling windows in the Lõunakeskus Hotel Sophia in Tartu. The view from the windows opens to the shopping centre and the science park, so there is not much to look at really. As if to compensate, the restaurant serves particularly attractive food.
Restaurant manager Siim Kont and new chef Randel Malm continue the restaurant’s tradition, where creative boundaries are not recognised. Instead, they play around the limits. It is always worth ordering one of the signature cocktails here to start or end the meal. Be it the aperitif gin cocktail Värske Pomm (fresh bomb), packed with freshness, or the digestive Kollane Vanake (yellow old man), which contains Estonian and Italian cult drinks Vana Tallinn and Limoncello. Novel flavours are poured into cocktail glasses. Only the desire to experience unfamiliar tastes must be brought along from home. This is the case for food as well.
The enticing menu makes you want to try every single dish, especially those that are being served to neighbouring tables. The menu changes irregularly, but often enough to make coming here always exciting.
People are coming to Fii to “watch food and drinks ” from further and further afield, so it is best to book a table in advance.
