Those who remember Art Priori before its temporary closure can now find a restaurant that has not changed much in terms of milieu but is completely different in terms of food. Previously, attempts were made to serve modern food art at least equivalent to the exquisite paintings decorating the walls. Now they have moved from modern to timeless, offering the classics of French cuisine.
Is this a disappointment? Perhaps until the first plate reaches the table. Art is still present in the food, even in boeuf tartare, which you can get in almost any restaurant. While the dishes here no longer show off in appearance, the flavours steamroll the competition. The question arises whether one has ever eaten such a powerfully flavoured boeuf tartare before, and if so, then probably at a very high-ranking restaurant.
This is the case with all other dishes. You’ve probably eaten them often. But were they equally good elsewhere? Probably not. Trust the recommendations of the staff when finding drink pairings for your food. Then the flavour pleasure doubles.
Art Priori continues to produce food art and it doesn’t matter that they’re doing it in a new way. The restaurant going back to classics in the case of Art Priori is a leap forward.
